Layers

THE PROCESS

All MESG Flooring installations require a minimum of FIVE(5)* Working Days to complete.
*Subjected to work area and environmental conditions

PRE-INSTALLATION REQUIREMENTS

Before Project Commencement

Do note that the work area will have to be cleared and emptied before the commencement of the project. Our installers will then seal off the work area to prevent dust and unwanted foreign objects from coming into contact with our Metallic Epoxy as it cures and hardens.

DAY 1

  • Commencement of protection works and clean-up
  • Metallic Epoxy Sealant application

DAY 2

  • Post-checks on the Sealant layer and touch-up works (if necessary)
  • Metallic Epoxy Self-Levelling Compound & Primer layer application

DAY 3

  • Post-checks on Self-Leveling Compound, Primer layer, and touch-up works (if necessary)
  • Commencement of Metallic Epoxy Design layer

DAY 4

  • Post-epoxy checks and touch-up works (if necessary)
  • Selected Metallic Epoxy Topcoat layer application

DAY 5

  • Final epoxy and topcoat layer checks and touch-up works (if necessary)
  • Removal of protection works and clean up
  • Project Conclusion and handover

THINGS TO NOTE

MESG strongly advises our clients to refrain from touching or entering the work area during the entire installation & curing process. This avoidance minimizes air disturbance, which may cause dust and foreign objects to land and embed within the layers.

It also prevents footprints, shoe marks, and dirt from coming into contact with the layers as they cure and harden.

After the project handover, you may begin foot traffic on your new Metallic Epoxy Flooring. However, we strongly recommend an allowance of 48 – 72 HOURS before placing heavy objects, structures, and furniture on the surface to prevent sinking or warping the epoxy layers.

For areas frequently exposed to water, such as bathrooms, we have anti-slip options that can prevent slipping, even with the presence of both soap and water.
